Hong Kong Athletes Career and Education Programme (HKACEP)- Cable TV Joint Project Announcement

Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and CABLE TV announced on Thursday (18 December 2008) that a new collaboration with Cable TV as the first Electronic Media Partner of its Hong Kong Athletes Career and Education Programme (HKACEP), helping to identify and train Hong Kong's athletes as elite broadcasters to take up positions in the media. The Programme is expected to provide much needed media talents for upcoming major international sporting events, including the Guangzhou Asian Games, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and the 2012 London Olympics.

Hong Kong, 19 December 2008: The online public voting for the ˇ§Bank of China Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards 2008ˇ¨ commences today. The awards is organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), subvented by Leisure and Cultural Services Department and with Bank of China (Hong Kong) again as the Title Sponsor. The Online Public Voting Announcement Press Conference was held today at Level II, Ocean Terminal Main Concourse, Harbour City to remind the public of this once-a-year prestigious Sport Oscar Award and to vote for their favourite sports stars.
